[Information up to #622 of original wave.
Now a read-only wave]
My intention is that you now have
the last guide you ever need to save
to stay on top of Google Wave!
EDITOR'S NOTE: This guide was intended for use with new users mostly- and as a reference for the rest of us. Please keep that in mind when you make additions. Information should be as brief as possible, and should be filed under appropriate headings by embedding blips into this wavelet. To do this, double-click in the area of the wavelet you'd like to edit and click 'reply.' This method is used so that entire sections can be collapsed easily. If you'd like to add new sections, please discuss the addition in the Ultimate Wave Reference Discussion.
Please take a moment to add some of your contacts to this wave!
Contacts
To make a wave public, add public@a.gwave.com to your contacts and as well as the row at the top of your wave.
Note: You will get the message that the user does not have a Google Wave account. However, simply pressing Enter will add the robot to your contacts.
To add your wave to WaveDirectory, add wavedirectory@appspot.com to the wave. This will automatically add public@a.gwave.com too.
Dragging Functions
Drag a wave from the search panel and drop it into a blip you are editing to create a link to it.
Drag images from your desktop or a folder into a blip you are editing to add the image as an attachment.
Note: The browser extension Gears may be required.
Drag a wave from the Inbox into any new folders you have created to place them there easily. You may need to hold the wave over the folder for a second or two to make sure the wave is properly filed.
Editing Blips
To edit a blip, select it first and press CTRL + E (CMD + E on Mac) You may also click the little block arrow to the right of the timestamp and select 'Edit this message.' You may also double click on a blip while outside of edit mode, and click on edit on the bubble that appears.
To insert a reply into a blip, make sure you are out of edit mode and double click on a blip. Select 'reply' and you will be able to edit your embedded blip.
